Failing is Learning – Fail better!

In a world that always sells perfection (advertising & social media), one quickly tends to put oneself, under massive pressure, to want to live and work perfectly and not to forgive oneself and others for minor and major mistakes or at least to chalk them up. In this context, it is worthwhile to orientate oneself on the famous words of the author Simon Beckett: Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

We learn nothing if there are no mistakes. We don’t develop if everything always goes perfectly. Dealing with mistakes in the right way is crucial for personal and professional growth. How we evaluate and deal with mistakes is shaped by our failing culture. It has long been known that a positive error culture is important for success – on private, professional and corporate level. But one question remains for the most part: How do I create a positive failing culture? How do I learn to deal constructively and purposefully with my own mistakes and those of colleagues or employees?

Answers to these questions will be provided in our nushu breaky by expert Andreia Fernandes.

She will show us…

  • why failure is important!
  • what happens, if we embrace what looks like failure.
  • how failure and personal growth are connected.
  • why it is problematic when everything is easy and perfect.
  • the importance of the comfort zone in all of this.

This event is for everyone who wants to know how to deal better with mistakes and what a positive failing culture is all about. Come and join!
